The overwhelming focus on AI reflects its dual nature as both a potential threat and solution in emerging AI-powered cybersecurity solutions and defenses. With 99% of organizations either implementing or developing generative AI usage policies, the technology sector is witnessing unprecedented attention to AI governance.

Organizations must carefully navigate potential risks and challenges of implementing AI in business operations. The past year has seen significant cybersecurity challenges across organizations:

• 70% of organizations experienced at least one major cyberattack
• 52% confirmed security breaches, up from 48% in previous reports
• 97% of known breaches were disclosed, indicating improved transparency
• Malware and business email compromise (BEC) attacks remained the most frequent threats
